We Stayed for the Cachopo
Earlier this year we went back to Oviedo. We decided that we need a slogan for our recently set up Real Oviedo North-West group. After minutes of using our full brain power, we came up with the slogan...."We came for the Football WE stayed for the Cachopo". So just one Cachopo scarf was made up. Little did we know it would be such a success!
We arrived in Oviedo after an interesting car journey from Bilbao. Straight into the hotel & then straight out for some food. When I say food, I obviously mean CACHOPO! A few of us decided to have Cachopo, I went for the full Cachopo. Which I somehow managed finished. It took all my strength, willpower & maybe stupidity to finish it.
After this victory I decided to show everyone the Cachopo scarf. This went down well. Straight into the kitchen did the Cachopo scarf go, numerous photos later I got it back. Then it hit Twitter where everyone loved it. I was worried as didn't know if the fans of Real Oviedo would get the humour of it, thankfully they share our sense of humour.
A day or so later it was supporter's day for Real Oviedo. This was where things really started to go mental. People wanted photos with the scarf constantly. It really surprised me on how popular the scarf had become. Even had people chanting "Cachopo! Cachopo! Cachopo!" it was amazing. Who'd of thought a scarf would be so popular?
